Also, related aside: I once heard the reason he did that was because he was the first to sign and didn’t realize how big it would look compared to everyone else trying to cram their signatures on the limited amount of space. But I’ve also heard he did it purposefully, to be remembered by posterity.

If the latter is true, he certainly accomplished his goal.

As absurd and ridiculous as Trump’s John Hancock is, though, I’ll give him a smidge of credit for being better than the also ridiculous signature of former Texas governor and Energy Secretary nominee Rick Perry:
